“Dentistry is about so much more than just ‘fixing’ teeth,” says Dr. Caroline Barsoum, “It’s combining the beauty of art with the technicalities of science.” After graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, she then furthered her education by accepting a General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She then received her certificate in the specialty of prosthodontics three years later.

With over 15 years of experience practicing and teaching dentistry, Dr. Caroline Barsoum and her husband, Dr. Michael Cafarella, opened their first private practice in 2009 in Greenwich Village.

Fast forward 11 years, and Integrated Aesthetic Dentistry has expanded to two offices in New York City, including Gramercy Park and Upper East Side.

Continuing to develop her education and knowledge, Dr. Barsoum is an active board member of the American College of Prosthodontics New York Section and international lecturer.

When she is not transforming and building confidence in smiles, Dr. Barsoum can be found exploring New York while taking care of her three boys.

"Many people haven’t been taught the importance of their oral health and how it affects their overall health. Educating my patients is key. I want them to not only feel good about their smile, but to be comfortable and happy with who they are"
